All In for Autism Walk/Run Identity Design

Client:

Bellevue Breakfast Rotary Club

Year:

The All In for Autism 5k/10k Run/Walk is the annual signature event for the Bellevue Breakfast Rotary Club. Through this event, they are able to raise a significant amount of money for local organizations that support children and families with ASD. I was asking to help create a new logo and identity for the race, as their existing logo used the outdated motif of puzzle pieces, which now carries many negative associations for those in the autism community.

This past year, 2023, was the 16th All In for Autism, and over the years not only has the club built a loyal group of runners, recurring sponsors, and supporters, but had also built great brand recognition around their previous brand and logo.

My first goal was to create a new logo that used the most current symbolism: the rainbow infinity. The final logo design was inspired by a race track, with a simplified but bright palette. Most importantly, though, I wanted to retain select parts of the original brand, in order to leverage the race's existing brand recognition. I chose to do this by keeping the same primary color palette (though paired down), and created additional graphic elements loosely inspired by the pattern on the original logo.

My second goal was to create a logo that was versatile enough to work on a range of different applications: a website redesign, t-shirts, bags, dog bandanas, print collateral, and more.
